Leeds United face West Ham in the FA Cup tomorrow with Marcelo Bielsa having to contend with even more injury troubles in his first-team squad.

It’s hard to believe how bad Leeds’ injuries have been this season, with major starters out for lengthy periods since August.

A win against Burnely was much-needed in the Premier League and with attention turning the FA Cup, there is perhaps a chance for key players to get some respite before a second consecutive clash away at West Ham.

Marcelo Bielsa’s pre-match press conference provided another unwelcome update when it came to finding out which players he had out for the trip to the London Stadium.

Here, we take a look at every injury Leeds have for this weekend’s cup clash

Kalvin Phillips

First name on the long list is Kalvin Phillips.

A hamstring injury in the draw against Brentford has seen him ruled out since and after surgery, Bielsa reaffirmed on Friday that he would be missing until March.

Liam Cooper

Much like Phillips, Cooper’s setback was a hamstring problem that forced him off in that same game, only lasting a quarter of an hour.

He too is looking at a March return

Patrick Bamford

More positive news now and after Bamford’s hamstring injury in that same game, he looks likely to be available for the trip to West Ham.

Bamford likely to be able to play on Sunday so we can end on this subject of injuries,” he told Leeds Live.

Fans aren’t too keen to see him play a full 90 minutes though, given our other issues and the fact we simply cannot afford to see him sidelined once again.

Bamford has stated recently that he feels in great condition.

Pascal Struijk

An injury here that looks fairly concerning with the lack of insight into when he will return.

Struijk has been struggling with a foot problem that he picked up in training due to an ‘explosive movement’, which seems like it could be a bit of a theme really.

Bielsa was unable to provide a timescale for when Struijk will be back in action.

Rodrigo

The Spaniard has had some rotten luck since joining from Valencia, with illness and various injuries plaguing his time and toping him build any momentum.

His current problem was revealed by the club as ‘bilateral heel pain’ where they chose to reduce his playing time in order to aid his recovery.

Like Struijk, Rodrigo was one that had no timescale placed on his rehabilitation from injury.

Jamie Shackleton

Shackleton has picked up what seems like dozens of issues since promotion to the top flight, and after starting in the Manchester City defeat, he was forced off thanks to an Achilles injury which meant he sat out in the defeat to Arsenal and the win over Burnley.

Bielsa’s press conference revealed that he is going to be missing until after the next international break, which is in mid-March.

Charlie Cresswell

A reported dislocated shoulder is seemingly wheat is keeping the young centre-back out of contention right now, but there is yet to be confirmation from the club.

He joins Shackleton on the treatment table until after that international break, meaning he won’t be travelling to feature for the Young Lions as he has done earlier this season.

Tyler Roberts

The Wales international has been filling in fairly well recently with a goal and an assist in his last five games.

However, he capped off an afternoon to forget against Burnley with an injury that forced him off, to be replaced by Joe Gelhardt.

Bielsa stated that Roberts picked up a muscular injury that will keep him out for around a month.

Joe Gelhardt

The man who helped change the game against Burnley, Gelhardt, is the last name on our list.

After an assist for Dan James, he might have been hoping to back that up with a start in the FA Cup tomorrow, but he too has joined that outrageous injury list.

Bielsa revealed that he has picked up an ankle injury in training and is set to be missing for the same amount of time as Roberts – a month.
