This week brings a close to the international break and the restart of “Club Football”. This week, Leeds take on Birmingham at St Andrews. The week has been full of international action and a bit of surprise club action through the U21’s who lost 3-2 against Ipswich Town. However, it did give Interim Head Coach Neil Redfearn a chance to see Adryan and get an idea of what he could bring to the squad.

Birmingham are a team who has come off of back to back defeats and the most recent was a 4-0 thumping against Wigan. They will be up for the match and are looking to try to bring in more players through the loan window. The most recent link, Brek Shea from Stoke City on loan, could be completed in time for him to feature in the Leeds match. Shea, a USA international has found himself struggling to adjust to English Football and has been plagued by an ankle injury during his first season with Stoke. However, he is known for his quickness for a big player and has a left foot that has earned him plenty of goals across the pond, during his time at MLS side, FC Dallas.

Leeds will be looking to continue their winning streak with Interm Head Coach Redfearn. Last match was a challenging test (from a strong on paper yet) weaker Championship side. Leeds fought hard but hopefully will be better at finding a way to take pressure off the defense and slow counter attacking down. However, in general, Bolton have some very talented players that fought hard in the 2nd half but were denied by some amazing goalkeeping from Marco Silvestri. The pros from last match outweigh the cons and Stephen Warnock’s accidental goal came out of hard work and good passing play from Leeds to create that unique chance. Leeds have had time to gel more, as a squad and I’d fully expect to see a side that is looking more confident while in possession.

Against Bolton, Leeds fielded a rather young side and I expect the same from Coach Redfearn.
