Plenty of Leeds United fans have been discussing Crysencio Summerville’s latest performance for the club’s Under 21s.

Summerville and his fellow Leeds youngsters beat Oldham Athletic in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday night, and the Dutch winger clearly impressed.

Summerville has enjoyed something of a breakthrough at Leeds this season, after joining in the summer of 2020.

The 19-year-old has featured three times for the first-team this season, his first senior appearances for the club.

The winger was however, back featuring for the youth team on Tuesday, helping them to a 3-2 win over League Two Oldham, their first EFL Trophy win of the campaign.

Despite only playing the first half of that match, Summerville clearly impressed, and scored the penalty that ensured Leeds went into half time 1-0 up.

Here, we take a look at what some Leeds fans had to say about the teenager’s latest performance, as they took to Twitter to give their thoughts on the game.

You do feel as though we are going to start seeing Summerville in and around the first-team setup more and more often.

The winger has already shown he is capable of holding his own in the Premier League, while he continues to stand out at Under 21s level.

As a result, a move to more regular first-team football with Marcelo Bielsa’s side does seem to be the obvious next step for the winger.

Indeed, with Leeds facing something of a selection issue out wide in the first-team, with Raphinha, Jack Harrison and Dan James all unable to complete 90 minutes against West Ham on Saturday, Summerville’s rapid rise is certainly a timely one for the club.
