The difficult games show no sign of slowing down for Leeds, as Bristol City head to Elland Road this Sunday. Heckingbottom went with 4-3-3 against Sheffield United which didn’t work until Hernandez came on for Kemar Roofe. We’ll work on the basis that we play that same formation on Sunday, as we did when we beat Bristol City 3-0 away.

GK – Felix Wiedwald –
Felix has actually been one of our best players during this terrible run we’ve been on, which sums up just how poor we’ve been really.

Into the defence…

  1. Sorry to disagree with you but Dallas at right back ? I would play Anita at right back ( he has more experience there than Dallas) AND I WOULD PLAY DALLAS AND DROP PHILLIPS from the midfield role. Phillips “vanishes” from the game for long periods , ” reappears ” and does something stupid, plus , personally I think that something is missing from his game. I think it’s called ‘ABILITY ‘
STILL , As from next week when all the current suspensions have been completed, let us see what Mr. Heckingbottom does when , apart from the long term injured , he should be spoiled for choice!

  2. There is no risk in staring with Ekuban and he could be the perfect partner for Lasogga who will score plenty of goals if he gets the service. We can obviously forget Roberts for a while which is disappointing news.
Personally I wouldn’t have O’Kane, Alioski or Roofe anywhere near our starting eleven presently as suggested and agree with Dallas and also Phillips who IMO plays better when Viera is there as well.
If we get a good win on Sunday then I don’t see Saiz, Cooper and Beradi coming back into the eleven automatically but it strengthens up the bench no end and gives us options.

    • Sorry Tim, when Sáiz is available, he simply must start … he’s one of the few players we have who can, genuinely, unlock opposition defences, score goals and create chances for others. Your right as far as the other two, Berardi and Cooper, are concerned, neither deserve to be automatic picks.

  3. We need to go 4-4-2 and play wingers. That lineup has no wide players and it’s our failure to put crosses in the box which is killing us.
