Leeds United head to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea this weekend looking for more crucial points in their battle to survive relegation.

The Whites have an opportunity to do the league double over Chelsea, having previously beaten them 3-0 at Elland Road under Jesse Marsch back in August.

Graham Potter is not enjoying his time with the Blues presently, as his side sit firmly in mid-table in 10th. Leeds head to West London sat in 17th, but won their previous game against Southampton 1-0.

Leeds go into the game with a handful of absentees, particularly in defensive areas, with Liam Cooper, Pascal Struijk, and Max Wöber all missing of late.

Has Gracia provided an update on Leeds United’s injury list?

When asked directly during his pre-match press conference about that trio of players, Javi Gracia would not be drawn into giving a full update on them.

The Spaniard was adamant that they are in good hands with the medical team, though he said: “You are really concerned about injured players, but don’t worry, they are in the best hands to recover as soon as possible.”

He was coy with his answer, stating that he doesn’t like the opposition knowing everything about his squad going into the weekend’s game, he added: “I don’t like to speak about injured players because I don’t want to give information about players.”

His update sounded as though some players were nearing a return, but it could not be said with certainty, he continued: “To be honest, some of them today, I don’t know with security if they are going to be ready or not. The main reason is not only that, but I don’t want to talk about injured players.”

Quiz: Did the following 15 players play for both Leeds United and Chelsea?

Has Jack Harrison played for both?

Leeds are doing well in terms of midfield and attacking options currently, but lack defensive depth choices.

It may mean a largely unchanged lineup for the Whites heading into the game. Leeds have been leaky at the back all season, and it would be a big blow if none of Cooper, Struijk, or Wöber are back and available.

There are 14 games for Gracia and Leeds to achieve survival, but the Spaniard will know the importance of having as many of his squad available as possible for the run in.
