After reports from Daily Mail journalist Tom Farmery alleging the police caught a man acting suspiciously around Derby’s training ground. It has since emerged that Derby County themselves issued a statement saying they believe the man to be associated with Leeds United football club. In the statement Derby believe they have traced both the suspect and the car back to Leeds.

Whilst the sanctions that could be taken are unclear, it is unlikely the Football League will brush this off, given our recent history and the relatively harsh punishment they handed Pontus Jansson for a slip of the tongue on live TV earlier this season.

Speculation is rife over who the individual could be and just what he was observing at the training ground. However, if we play them off the park tonight it could become clear. We will endeavor to keep you informed as this news story unravels.

Derby travel to Leeds for the Friday Evening game in the Championship, kicking off at 7:45 tonight. Leeds will be without star man Pablo Hernandez, however Liam Cooper could make a return to the side. Equally, Derby are expected to be without Harry Wilson. Leeds shall be looking to return to form after suffering 2 straight losses in the league.

Are Leeds in the wrong or should we just hire better informers? Will we see Frank Lampard approach Marcelo Bielsa tonight? All this reeks of some absolutely vintage Leeds United.

  1. Never a dull moment!
I hear he was disguised as a tree, and nobody noticed till he moved!!
The police questioned the tree, but it only speaks Spanish!!
Our backroom staff outnumber or playing squad, so they have to do something!!!
