AC Milan’s interest in Luis Sinisterra has been mooted as the Leeds United winger continues to make headlines.

Leeds brought Sinisterra to Elland Road during the summer as Raphinha’s replacement, splashing £20m on the winger.

Despite a pre-season injury, Sinisterra has already shown flashes of his quality at Leeds and he continues to impress on the international stage with Colombia.

Milan-based journalist, Carlo Pellegatti, has been discussing Sinisterra on his YouTube channel and how AC Milan’s chief scout, Geoffrey Moncada, has followed the winger.

“Having one on the right and the other on the left, with (Charles) De Ketelaere as an attacking midfielder, would drive me crazy.

“Moncada followed him, Milan likes him. He has a market value of 25-35 million, therefore in the range of the club.”

Sinisterra has scored three goals for Leeds so far, including two in his last two Premier League appearances before the international break.

The 23-year-old has carried that form onto Colombia duty this month with three goals in two games.

Sinisterra is clearly a talent that’s appreciated right across Europe, which makes it all the sweeter for Leeds that he’s on their books at this moment in time.

One thing that stands out from this update is the ”valuation” of Sinisterra sitting somewhere between 25-35 million.

Leeds signed him for £20m and tied him down to a five-year deal. Already his valuation is creeping up thanks to his performances in 2022/23.

Since shaking off his injury Sinisterra has scored six goals in six appearances for club and country, only failing to score in Leeds’ 1-0 defeat at Brighton where he played little over 30 minutes.

Simply, if he keeps developing like this over the season and scoring goals, his valuation will be way beyond £35m and Leeds will be in a position where they don’t need to sell.

Milan aren’t going to be able to swoop in for him on the cheap.
