Image for Christiansen reveals good news on Jansson injury

Late in the game at Millwall, Pontus Jansson suffered a slight injury that forced him to leave the game and reduced Leeds to 10 men. It was reported to be a Hamstring injury but thankfully, it doesn’t seem too bad. Thomas Christiansen said in his press conference today that Jansson’s injury is “nothing important”, which doesn’t make it sound like he will be missing for very long at all. He added that Jansson won’t be playing tomorrow night but he will be taking part in a training session instead, which is good news.

Christiansen also confirmed that Pennington trained with the team today and that Liam Cooper is “doing well” after his injury. Overall, a very positive injury report from the boss and one that was much-needed with our lack of numbers in that position.

Yes, but that’s what he said about Cooper’s injury! I really hope Viera gets a start tomorrow and we haven’t seen much of Klich and nothing of Cibiki yet.
It would be nice to get a win tomorrow and draw a Prem top six club at home in the next round but I would rather we won the next three league matches before the next break. I expect Dyche will put a strong side out.

I couldn’t agree more, we had 4 games win back to back, the same again, another run of victories would be more beneficial. Those players mentioned should start against Burnley, so to give them match practice and we have abundance of midfielders.
