Chelsea are reportedly considering letting USMNT winger Christian Pulisic leave the club permanently this January, following links to Leeds United previously.

Jesse Marsch has already brought in two US internationals in his first transfer window, and their impact on the club has been enormous since joining.

That American bond is strong already at the club, but more from the States have been targeted by the club in recent months.

England’s draw with USA on Friday put the spotlight on some of Gregg Berhalter’s best players, with Tyler Adams running the show, but Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic also impressed during the stalemate.

Leeds have previously been reported to be interested in the winger as his future at Stamford Bridge looks to be in the air as things stand.

His chances were limited under Thomas Tuchel, and things haven’t really improved under Graham Potter.

Now, after spending £58million to sign the winger back in 2019 from Borussia Dortmund, the Daily Mail are claiming that the Blues are weighing up selling him this January.

The new year will bring Pulisic into the final 18 months of his contract, and they are considering selling him in order to bring in some cash, rather than lose him for nothing in 2024, or for a lesser fee in windows in between.

Pulisic would be a good signing, if he was available for a seriously reduced price.

I wouldn’t be paying a club-record for him right now, knowing that we have bigger fish to fry in January, as he doesn’t really solve our major flaws.

A new striker and a left-back is more important for us, and Pulisic could come as a right-winger after that.

He’s definitely one to watch as a Leeds fan though, because the club will surely be looking at his situation and be tempted to move.
