Changes expected but who should start against Reading?

After the performance in the 1-1 draw against Burnley, things were looking rosy at Elland Road. Then came the penalty shoot-out defeat to League One Doncaster. Disappointing to say the least, but at least we can focus on the league.

Reading are next, a trip to the Madejski and a chance to get the first three points on the board away from home. Lewis Cook’s suspension means at least one enforced change but I’m also expecting Scott Wootton, Ross Turnbull, Liam Cooper and Souleymane Doukara all to drop to bench.

Then there’s the front man, will Mirco Antenucci keep his place, or will Chris Wood be recalled? Here is my team for today’s game.

Goalkeeper

Marco Silvestri
Ross Turnbull impressed me on Thursday night but Silvestri is clearly number one at Elland Road. He didn’t do a lot wrong against Burnley and I’m pretty certain Turnbull was always going to start against Rovers. Silvestri will be hoping for that elusive clean sheet.

Onto the defence…

Completely agree with your team, Antenucci doe’s not fit in with a 4 3 3, shame really because he as been good so far, if he can come on and make a impact like against Burnley. MOT

I agree with every word. Antenucci could have done no more and his chances will come throughout the season. Sadly Cooper and in particular Doukara and Wooton did not take their opportunities
