It is being reported that Eleonora sport now own 75% Leeds United, meaning Massimo Cellino is free to do what he wants with Leeds. It seems that the first thing he has done is remove MD David Haigh, despite it being written into the contract that Haigh would become CEO. Cellino is supposed to attend the Watford game tonight.
News has also come out today that Leeds United have made a loss of £9.5m, which would put us under threat from Financial Fair play rules. It could result in us suffering a transfer embargo next January. Leeds’ total debt in the 2012-13 accounts is recorded as £22m. Cellino has made a big commitment, he paid more than we’re worth and also took over the debt so good luck to him.

  • Bluesman says:

Glad Cellino is in. Mixed feelings about DH leaving, if anyone has done some thing good for Leeds in the past 10 years, he is the man! Good luck to both.

    • ER PR BS says:

DH is a slimy self serving scumbag Bluesman. He was playing every possible angle for his own interests. Amazing how a little bit of PR spin works wonders with some. MOT

    • He has had his wack out of us, you can’t trust a true blue Tory, lying, two danced twats the lot of them, just like old man Bates.

      • David M says:

Don’t be so silly Keith– a true blue tory, good job it wasn’t a true red Labour otherwise our debt would be twice as big and we would have sold all our assets at rock bottom price, and in between invaded Manchester, bombed hell out of them then blamed someone else. Hope the new guy is ruthless and gets rid of all the rubbish and dead wood that we’ve accrued over the past 10 years. A new start.

      • Keth Goodwright says:

Excuse me, I am a lifelong Tory and a lifelong Leeds supporter. Don’t insult me, and don’t insult our wonderful club by introducing hate-politics

    • Mrlew says:

I disagree, I think DH has been a bit of a charlatan. Telling us fans what we want to hear and at the same time having no idea how to run a football club.
Good luck to Cellino, hope we don’t through as many managers as Cagliari yet somehow think my wish won’t come true

Massimo couldn’t be any worse than the clowns that have run our club in the past.He is willing to take on our debt and buy back Elland Rd and Thorpe Arch ,so I say get behind him and enjoy the sail

  • Kelly hx white says:

Listening to the game n good help us n cellinio because we’re terrible no plan no tactics management of the team is terrible r leading goalscorer is being played in midfield? A player that couldn’t score in a brothel on pay day ( 25k) a week get that fool McDermott out of the club he’s a complete joke he is willfully destroying the carears of our youth, inept clueless dishonest and much more spin than haigh he should of stuck the 50 euros up is arse

  • stuart delaney says:

i think what he will do is bring some top players that are capable of standing there own in the premier devision but will be willing to drop a devision. and suround them with young talent that are already there. because the reason the players arnt playing is because they know if leeds were to go up they would all lose ther jobs because they arnt good enouth for the next step i mean how can they be in dept. surley they dont get payed for playing crap good luck massimo.
