Leeds United have Adam Forshaw available once again this weekend after he overcame his latest injury setback.
The Whites haven’t been lucky this season when it’s come to injury dilemmas, and some players have seen reoccurring problems.
One of those is midfielder Adam Forshaw, a player that has been trying to shake off injuries ever since September 2019.
He returned to the first-team fold in pre-season and has made two appearances this season, both coming in the Carabao Cup where he’s looked decent.
However, both of those games saw him pick up another injury shortly after and he’s been in a constant state of catch-up with the rest of the side.
With the game against Southampton up next after the international break, it has provided Forshaw the perfect chance to ramp up his recovery.
Marcelo Bielsa revealed in his pre-match press conference that the player is available for the weekend (via Phil Hay):
It’s a welcome boost to the side’s depth, but fans haven’t been too hasty to think he’s going to be making an instant impact…
It’s hard to get your hopes up with Forshaw, because we have done so many times, only for another injury to come.
I really hope he can just keep himself fit for more than a week now, just for the sake of his own confidence.
He might be leaving at the end of the season on a free, but we need to get him in a good place for when that happens.
All we can do now is just hope he doesn’t get injured again because it’s getting beyond frustrating now.
