Leeds United are set to finally sign Republic of Ireland international, Eunan O’Kane from Bournemouth on a permanent basis.
It was rumoured that Leeds had made a bid to loan O’Kane but the deal had stalled. It is now believed that O’Kane will join the Elland Road side on a permament deal. He made 24 appearances for club and country last season, 16 of those in the Premiership.
A deal for O’Kane could see the departures of current Leeds central midfielders, Luke Murphy and Toumani Diagouraga. Both players have played just a single game for Garry Monk’s side so far this season and have been told that they are surplus to requirements and are free to find another club.
With the transfer window closing at 11PM tonight, the clock is ticking and Leeds need to get a move on and make this deal happen. I highly rate O’Kane and wanted us to sign him when he left Torquay for Bournemouth back in 2012, I will be very pleased if we secure this deal. O’Kane and Bridcutt as holding midfielders would make for a very solid Championship midfield.
