Former West Ham midfielder Sonny Perkins has issued his farewell to the club, as he seemingly closes in on a move, perhaps to Leeds United.

The Whites haven’t been too busy when it comes to investing in the under-23s this summer, but a target that has been present since the early stages of the summer is Sonny Perkins.

West Ham confirmed that the player was due to leave upon the expiry of his contract, with a fiery statement emerging, claiming that they aim to receive full compensation for his nearing move elsewhere.

Fabrizio Romano previously confirmed Leeds were in talks with Perkins, who made his Premier League debut against Leeds in their 3-2 win at the London Stadium back in January.

Having started to follow Leeds on Instagram, along with a large portion of the young players in the team, Perkins has issued this goodbye to the Irons:

Should Leeds give Archie Gray his debut this season?

No

An announcement should be expected very soon on Perkins’ front then if he is making this post.

While it’s unconfirmed whether we are the side he has chosen to sign for, it seems that way with all of the players that he has started to become acquainted with.

Perkins looks like a first-team player in the making and it’s another very savvy signing from Victor Orta to bring him to Elland Road.

I can’t see him becoming a senior option right away, but he is going to be knocking on the door for involvement quickly.
