With the rumours of Becchio flying about left, right and centre, it was only natural that questions regarding the return of Beckford would start to be asked.
With Redfearn wanting to bring in players with some Championship experience, ex-Leeds forward Jermaine Beckford, now 31, was of course brought up.
Whilst at Leeds, Beckford played a total of 129 games, netting 76 goals for the club, between 2005 and 2010.
When asked, Redfearn apparently refused to comment, with Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Lee Sobot tweeting – “Redfearn won’t comment on Jermaine Beckford specifically but didn’t rule it out and admits “we need to freshen things up a little bit.””
Since leaving Leeds, Beckford has played at Everton, Leicester, Huddersfield, Bolton and Preston North End.
There will of course be debate over whether or not Beckford should return to Elland Road, that is, if this rumour was to come through at all.
