Beattie set to follow Monk, without Clotet

According to various reports, the Middlesbrough job is all but Garry Monk’s and James Beattie is set to be his assistant. At this stage, nothing is set with Pep Clotet. However, by not going with Monk it suggests he plans to remain in Leeds in some manner. He could yet be appointed manager or as some people believe, be assistant to Claudio Ranieri. I’m not against either option, I love the continuity factor and we can hardly complain if a man who won the Premier League a year ago is our new manager.

There’s been a lot of rumours surrounding the manager’s job at Leeds but it really seems like these are the two options now. Either Ranieri comes in and keeps Clotet alongside, or Pep takes the reigns himself. You never know, Pep could be the Gus Poyet to Dennis Wise. He certainly comes across as a very smart guy and he must have worked very hard to get where he is considering he never played professional football. Pep being in Italy most likely means nothing,

but it’s certainly interesting. Could he be there with Ranieri? Maybe even Radrizzani? Who knows. As I write this I realise I need football to come back and Leeds to get a move on because it’s getting tiring. I would definitely be expecting a decision at some point next week.

The Ads are getting worse Tim!!
These non-story headlines, are mainly to draw us into these pop up adverts!!!
      Just a con!!!

It’s not a non story at all, actually. Most would expect Clotet to follow Monk.

I agree with you, if Clotet hasn’t followed Monk and Beattie out of Elland Road then there must be something going on. For continuity I would have to go with Clotet as manager, although I preferred Laudrup.

Nobody knows whether Clotet is going with Monk or not!!
          It is just a guess.
As soon as it is announced, it will be a story!

why would anyone be confident with Clotet,he hasn’t achieved anything.assistant to Ranieri makes perfect sense though

  • Paul says:

Why have someone like Clotet as manager he has no pedigree, was involved in the disastrous last 8 games and if you look him up on Wikepedia he played for no one and the words”contract terminated” are used at regular intervals
