With Leeds’ season coming to an unfortunately dull ending, will Heckingbottom throw a few more of the youngsters in? I don’t see a reason why not. So with that in mind, who’s going to start v Bolton?

GK – Bailey Peacock-Farrell – BPF has until the end of the season to prove that the keeping job should be his for next season. He’s been good so far but I’d personally like to see us go get a top quality, experienced keeper.

Into the defence…

RB – Gaetano Berardi – It’s a shame that Lewie Coyle didn’t get recalled in January, he’d have played every game since then. Berardi continues for now.

CB – Matthew Pennington – Cooper has been better than Pennington this season but we know what Cooper is, there’s still a chance Pennington could be one to keep for the future.

CB – Pontus Jansson – The closer we get to summer the more likely it seems Jansson won’t be at Leeds next season. He’s been poor in comparison to last year, but if a Premier League team comes in for him, expect to see him depart.

LB – Tom Pearce – Pearce made a solid enough debut, a game against Bolton gives him a chance to show his attacking side, which is where he shines.

Into the midfield…

CM – Oriol Rey – This seems unlikely, but I’d love to see Rey given a game against Bolton. He’s been a standout performer in the U23s and the centre of our midfield has been lacking on all fronts recently.

CM – Adam Forshaw – We need some experience next to Rey so this one is a no-brainer. It’d be nice for Forshaw to get his first win.

CAM – Pablo Hernandez – Leeds had no issue dishing out contracts earlier this season. One of our best players needs one and it’s nowhere to be seen. Enjoy Pablo whilst you can.

Into the attack…

RW – Paweł Cibicki – We know that Sacko is terrible so why not give Cibicki a few more games, he did have a bright spell at one point this season and hasn’t been given as much of a chance as some of the others.

LW – Ezgjan Alioski – Actually one of the better players against Wednesday, we’ll need him to link up with Hernandez if we’re to have any joy going forward.

ST – Pierre-Michel Lasogga –
Let’s enjoy a goalscorer whilst he’s here, can anybody really be bothered watching Ekuban make an embarrassment out of himself again?

Let us know what team you’d go with for the game against Bolton!

  • Arshad Khan says:

A right back and two centre backs required. A striker is also needed, if Lasogga can’t be signed permanently. And a top goalkeeper. And sell the others, tried some, but, alas, not good enough to be in team and let alone playing in the Championship.

  • Andy Mallinson says:

A goalkeeper (Tim krull ) centre back (Kyle Bartley) or (Adam Flint) 2 wingers ( Junier Hoilett and Tom Ince) 2 midfielders (Joey Barton and Bradley Dack) and a quality striker ( Dwight Gayle or Lewis Grabban).
