Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has hit back at claims from a fan that he is likely to sell the club if they are relegated from the Premier League.

The final day of the Premier League season is nearing and Leeds are up against it in their bid to remain a top flight club.

They face a trip to Brentford knowing they must better Burnley’s result to ensure they finish 17th.

Last time out, discontent from the Elland Road faithful was aimed at the board, with chants of ‘Radrizzani, this is on you’, and ‘sack the board’ heard very clearly from all corners of the stadium.

Who goes down on the final day?

Things haven’t died down in that regard, but the Italian is standing firm on the matter, responding to this fan on Twitter who suggested he could sell up if the club face a drop back into the EFL:

This is exactly what we don’t need right now.

Radrizzani’s tweets have very rarely amounted to anything positive in terms of his relationship and standing with the fans.

He needs to just bite his tongue and take the criticism as it comes, because the fans are well within their rights to be angry at how this season has played out.

We’ve been sold the dream of fighting for Europe within three years but we’ve gone backwards from the moment we finished ninth last season.

While it’s not solely down to Radrizzani, he’s played a massive part in digging this hole.
