Leeds United have been linked with a move for Rubin Kazan youngster Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and his agent has made a big claim about a potential Premier League transfer.

Leeds are heading towards what could be a very busy summer transfer window as the club look to build on a very successful first season back in the Premier League.

A ninth-placed finish for Marcelo Bielsa’s side could have been more if a few poor results had gone the other way, such as losing twice to Wolves.

However, there’s still a lot of promise heading into next season as the links to various players in a number positions begin to crop up.

According to a report from FootballFanCast, Leeds are interested in young Georgia international Khvicha Kvaratskhelia after another scintilating season.

Having turned 20-years-old this season, he ended the season on four goals and four assists in 23 league appearances, while also stunning Diego Llorente’s Spain as he scored to see his country take a shock lead back in March.

He looks set to leave Rubin Kazan this summer after his father’s recent comments, and the latest from his party suggest that a move to the Premier League in particular is on the cards.

As links to Elland Road persist, representatives from his agency, Base Soccer Agency, have claimed that he’s more than ready for a move to the Premier League.

Speaking to Soccer, they stated:

I see (Khvicha) is a footballer ready for the English Premier League. He has a high potential to develop in the Premier League.

I know Rubin will be ready to let the player go if they receive a solid offer.

But the team has made it to the European Cup for the first time in many years. Why not win it along with Khvicha and play in the Champions League or Europa League next year?

I think whoever signs Kvaratskhelia will be very lucky to have him, because he looks like an incredible talent.

It’s hard to say too much about him as a player, given that he’s been playing in a league where it’s easier to stand out as a youngster, given the standard.

However, the fact that he’s helped Rubin Kazan climb back into a European spot with a fourth-place finish enough for the Europa Conference League.

Leeds won’t be the only side that he would fit in well with and it’s going to be interesting to see how this saga develops, whether it’s us or someone else.
