Gary Neville has admitted that the Elland Road atmosphere is going to be electric this season, with the Sky Sports pundit impressed by Leeds United on the opening weekend of the Premier League.

Leeds went toe-to-toe with Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday, losing out 4-3.

However, Marcelo Bielsa’s style and fearless approach has impressed the neutrals, including Neville.

Neville was appearing on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football (15/09, 17:00) and was assessing Leeds’ defeat at Liverpool.

Amid his high-praise of what Bielsa’s side did to the reigning Champions, he spoke about what he expects from Elland Road and Leeds moving forwards.

Exceptional games is what Leeds fans are going to get this season.

Particularly once they get back in the ground, the atmosphere is going to be absolutely electric.

Taking his analysis of Leeds further, the ex-Man United skipper talked up what it must be like to work for El Loco.

No doubt, they are going to concede goals, but I would imagine it’s thrilling as a Leeds player to go into that training ground and work under that man (Bielsa).

To play the game in that way, to have that fearless approach where you just get told to go after your man, win the ball back, duel one-v-one.

It’s a throwback. I haven’t got one negative thing to say.

Like most Leeds fans, I can’t wait to get back into the a packed Elland Road to watch some Bielsaball.

Watching the clash with Liverpool from my sofa was bittersweet. I was proud, but what carnage would that away end have produced when Mateusz Klich scored.

Neville is right, it’s going to be rocking at LS11 when we are back.

Fingers crossed that is this side of Christmas, as the energy we bring on the terrace will, undoubtedly, help maintain performance levels.

For now, though, the players and Bielsa are on their own. You’ve got to say, though, they are doing just fine without us.
