Leeds United winger Jack Harrison looks to have turned around his form at the moment after a poor first half of the season, including a goal in the 4-2 win over Wolves recently.

Leeds head into this international break off the back of a massive triumph away at Molineux, where Javi Gracia’s men put four past Wolves to win 4-2, but it was a nervy experience throughout.

Having battled into a 3-0 lead around the hour mark thanks to goals from Jack Harrison, Luke Ayling, and Rasmus Kristensen, Wolves clawed their way back in the game to 3-2.

However, after a red card for Jonny Otto, the game was put to bed by Rodrigo’s deft chip, following what Wolves thought was a foul on Adama Traore.

It lifts Leeds to 14th in the table, and here, we look at what the pundits have been saying about Harrison in the aftermath to the weekend…

Harry Redknapp is impressed

Leeds got off to the perfect start at Molineux when Willy Gnonto drove to the by-line and cut back perfectly for Harrison, who turned in a smart finish to put Leeds into a 1-0 lead.

It was Harrison’s second goal in as many games, taking him to two goals and two assists in four games under new manager Gracia.

Former Premier League manager Harry Redknapp named the winger in his BetVictor Team of the Week, and had this to say on the 26-year-old:

Jack Harrison is always a threat for Leeds, I’m a big fan of him. He’s got a real eye for goal, usually with both feet as well. He took his goal against Wolves very well and he’s a vital player in this Leeds side. I think there’s more to come from Jack and I can see him taking his game to the next level.”

Alan Shearer makes big claim

In the fight for survival, wins against Southampton and Wolves are going to be huge, just as games against other bottom half teams will be heading into April.

Harrison could be pivotal to Leeds in those games, just as he was in these with a goal involvement in each game that proved vital.

It’s some turnaround from Harrison, who could have been involved in the relegation battle for a different side as his January move to Leicester City fell through.

Alan Shearer thinks that the winger is going to be a massive part of Leeds’ survival bid, as he wrote this about him when he was named in the Premier League Team of the Week:

“After going so close to leaving Leeds in January, he could be the one to keep them in the Premier League.”
