CSKA Moscow are interested in signing Leeds United left-back Ezgjan Alioski this summer.

That’s according to a report from Fanatik, who say the Russian club have made a contract offer to Alioski as the 29-year-old considers his future.

Alioski’s current Leeds United contract is set to expire at the end of this month, although the Whites confirmed in their end of season released and retained list that they have offered him a new deal.

Reports from The Mirror have suggested the Elland Road club are still hopeful of securing a new deal for Alioski, although interest from elsewhere is seemingly not going away.

According to this latest update CSKA Moscow are keen on Alioski, and it appears they are willing to go big to get him.

It is thought that the club from the Russian capital have offered the left-back a contract worth around €2.5million per season, of they look to secure his services.

However, Alioski is not expected to make a decision on his future until after his Euro 2020 campaign with North Macedonia comes to an end, with his side’s final match coming against The Netherlands on Monday.

There is also a suggestion that Alioski will hold out to see what offers he might receive from elsewhere in Europe, following past links with the likes of Galatasaray.

This doesn’t seem to be all that promising when it comes to Leeds’ hopes of keeping Alioski.

It seems as though the left-back is keen to explore opportunities elsewhere, so it appears a new Leeds contract will not be signed imminently.

Indeed, you also wonder whether Leeds would be willing to match that contract offer from CSKA for Alioski, given the Whites’ apparent desire to sign another left-back means the 29-year-old may not be first choice at Elland Road next season.

As a result, it does seem as though Leeds may need to prepare themselves to potentially bid a fond farewell to Alioski in the next few months.
