Marcelo Bielsa will be without Kalvin Phillips and Rodrigo once more as Leeds United host Southampton in the Premier League tomorrow.
Leeds have been without Phillips for defeats to Arsenal and Wolves, whilst Rodrigo hasn’t featured since the win over Leicester City.
That pair’s absence looks set to continue tomorrow evening (as per Phil Hay) when Leeds host Southampton.
As our graphic shows, the likelihood is that Leeds will be unchanged from the side that lost to Wolves on Friday evening.
The only tweak we see Bielsa making is with regard to Leeds’ system ahead of Illan Meslier.
Given Leeds will come up against Southampton’s unique 4-2-2-2, it should be a three-man defence for Leeds: Luke Ayling, Pascal Struijk and Liam Cooper.
Then, Jamie Shackleton, Mateusz Klich and Stuart Dallas could form a three ahead of them, tasked with manning Southampton’s two No.10s.
Tyler Roberts is likely to be given another go in the No.10 position. He wasn’t quite at his best on Friday night, but there were enough nice touches to keep him in the team in Rodrigo’s absence.
Jack Harrison, Patrick Bamford and Raphinha, who have 36 goal contributions between them this season, complete the attack.
