After a brilliant win against Bristol City, why not reflect on Leeds being class? Here’s three things we learned from yesterday’s game…

Luke Ayling is still a good footballer

There have been plenty of times this season where fans have wondered, what is going on with Luke Ayling? With the added incentive of getting one over on his former team and manager, Ayling put in a MOTM performance, providing a great assist for the winning goal.

In the first half especially, Ayling was excellent going forward and remained defensively sound throughout. It’s good to see him back performing the way we know he can, if Bielsa trusts him, it’s good enough for us.

Can we go one game with no injury concerns?

No, is the short answer to that. Patrick Bamford has just hit his stride after coming back from two long injuries already this season, so why not punish him for winning us another game by giving him another injury?

Leeds and Bielsa are hopeful he’ll be fine for Tuesday’s game, but it would be very Leeds(y) to have to finish the season with only one fit striker in Tyler Roberts. Roberts has looked excellent at number 10, let’s hope he doesn’t have to play further forward on Tuesday.

Will the starting XI ever change?

Bielsa is known for being very consistent with his team selections and our return to good form has seen the same team start four games in a row. If everybody is fit to start against Reading, you’d be amazed if any changes were to be made.

After that there’s the gigantic game against Sheffield United followed by an international break. All being well, Leeds’ starting XI could remain the same for the last 10 games of the season, which would be quite a feat considering the amount of injuries we’ve had.

Let us know what you thought of the game yesterday!
