After a nervy first half, Leeds managed their way to a 2 nil victory over Hull. Goals from Own Goal (or, Helder Costa) and Gjanni Alioski secured the victory. Another clean sheet in the bag, too. This means Leeds can boast a record of having conceded just 10 goals in 21 games. Importantly though, 7 wins from 7.

Here are 3 who stood out for Leeds tonight:

Luke Ayling & Stuart Dallas: The most difficult task tonight was always going to be keeping Bowen and Grosicki at bay, the two have been relentless recently but they were nowhere to be seen tonight. The Leeds full backs were sublime in nullifying their threat. Ayling made 4 tackles and Dallas picked up 6. They notched up 3 interceptions between them too. This was crucial in stopping Hull have any real chances and as ever, they both supported the attacking process down their flanks superbly too.

Helder Costa: It’s his goal. He made a darting run through the Hull defence and put the ball in that was diverted into the net. 2 key passes and 4 successful dribbles, he’s starting to look more and more like the Helder Costa Leeds are spending all that money on.

Honorary Mention, Kiko Casilla: It can’t be understated how important that save at 1 nil was. Rather than Hull getting back in the game, Leeds charged on the counter and scored a second. He made 3 high claims and there wasn’t a moment where it looked like Hull scored. This season Leeds can claim a new found confidence in the man between the sticks.
