With the summer transfer window moving ever closer, speculation is growing around a number of clubs, and Leeds United are no different.

Following what has been a disappointing season in the Premier League so far, the Elland Road club will no doubt have to strengthen in the market, if they are to bounce back next season.

However, they are also going to face interest in some of their key players from elsewhere, meaning there are currently plenty of stories about the Whites’ potential transfer dealings that are now circulating.

So with that in mind, we’ve taken a look at three pieces of Leeds United transfer news that have emerged over the course of the past week.

Barcelona stepping up Raphinha pursuit

The future of Raphinha has been a top subject for some time now and Leeds amid interest from Barcelona, and it seems that may now be coming to a head.

According to an update from The Telegraph on Wednesday, Barcelona will step up talks over a deal to sing the winger imminently, rather than wait until the end of the season to make their move.

It is thought that the Spanish giants will make two proposals to Leeds, one for if the Elland Road club stay up this season, and one for if they are relegated, with Barca also said to be ready to top the Brazilian’s relegation release clause of £25million, to make sure they get this deal done.

Ebiowei targeted

In terms of incomings, one player who may be on his way to Leeds in the summer, is Derby County attacker Malcolm Ebiowei.

The 18-year-old has already made 15 appearances in all competitions for the Rams first, scoring once and providing two assists, but is out of contract at the end of the season, meaning he could be available for next to nothing.

That is something that appears to be generating plenty of attention from elsewhere, a report from The Sun on Monday claiming that Leeds are targeting the teenager, as are Tottenham, Crystal Palace, Fulham and RB Leipzig.

Liverpool confident of beating Leeds to Ramsay

One player who Leeds could be left disappointed in their pursuit of, is Aberdeen right-back Calvin Ramsay.

The teenager has been attracting interest from both Leeds and Liverpool in recent months after bursting on to the scene in the Scottish Premiership, although it seems that Anfield could be his next destination.

According to a report from journalist Alan Nixon, via Patreon on Sunday, Liverpool are confident that they will beat Leeds to the signing of the the 18-year-old, who they feel will be keen to learn from Trent Alexander-Arnold, with both clubs apparently willing to pay Aberdeen’s £3million asking price.
