Wolves could be able to call upon on loan Barcelona winger Francisco Trincao for their match with Leeds United at Elland Road on Saturday.

That’s after a report from The Birmingham Mail revealed that the 21-year-old has now returned to training for Bruno Lage’s side.

While away on international duty with Portugal earlier this month, Trincao tested positive for Covid-19.

As a result, the winger had been forced into self-isolation, which saw him miss his side’s dramatic comeback win over Aston Villa at the weekend.

Now however, it seems as though Trincao could be back in contention to feature for Wolves in Yorkshire on Saturday.

According to this latest update, the 21-year-old is now back in training with Wolves after time away recovering, meaning he could now return to action against Leeds.

Since joining Wolves on a season-long loan from Barcelona, Trincao has made seven appearances in all competitions for the Midlands side, scoring once in the 4-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup.

This will be an interesting one to keep an eye on heading into Saturday’s game.

With the likes of Adama Traore and Daniel Podence having impressed in Wolves’ comeback win over Aston Villa on Saturday, there may be no guarantee of Trincao coming straight back into the starting XI here.

Even so, in such a long and testing season, it will be important to have as many players available as possible to cope with the demands of the campaign.

As a result, you feel Leeds need to be prepared to come up against any of a number of wide threats as they go in search of a welcome win on Saturday.
